Patsy Jean Eaker

Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, March 17, at Terpening & Son Chapel for Patsy Jean Eaker of Artesia.

Eaker, 70, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017, at her home with her family by her side.
James Parker will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Patsy was born July 12, 1946, in Nocona, Texas, to Lloyd and Eunice (Poston) James.
On July 6, 1995, she married Robert Eaker in Artesia. They were both longtime Artesia residents.

Patsy worked as a homemaker for her family and grandchildren. Spending time with them all was her love in life. She attended The Refuge in Carlsbad and also Catalyst Church in Artesia.

Survivors include her husband, Robert, of the family home; children James Parker of Abilene, Texas, Kolbi Odom and Jaimie Rodriguez and husband Jesse, both of Carlsbad, Staci Bricker and Timber Brown, both of Artesia, and Nichole Eaker and Jennifer Eaker, both of Roswell; sister Vickie Long of Texarkana, Texas; brothers Jerry McGuairt and wife Paula of Fort Stockton, Texas, and Tim James and wife Susan of Gillette, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Melissa Morrison; and grandson Alex Parker.
