A Roswell man is dead after driving off an embankment Tuesday evening in Roswell.

New Mexico State Police officers were dispatched just before 7 p.m. Tuesday to Blue Mountain Road near the intersection of Washington Avenue in Roswell in reference to an accident.

Preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle, driven by Joseph Seskey, 71, of Roswell, was traveling eastbound on Blue Mountain when it failed to negotiate a curve, exiting the roadway
and overturning down an embankment.

Seskey sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
