Miriam ‘Mim’ S. Worlow

Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Woodbine Cemetery for Miriam “Mim” S. Worlow of Artesia.

Worlow, 80, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Good Life Senior Living and Memory Care in Artesia.

Pastor Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Miriam was born Jan. 8, 1936, in Artesia, the daughter of Howard R. and Anna Louise (Gault) Stroup.

On June 4, 1955, she married Charles Asbury Glover in Artesia. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1976. In May 1983, she married William R. Worlow in Artesia. He preceded her in death in May 1992.

Miriam was a graduate of Artesia High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1973. She worked as an administrative assistant.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and Altrusa. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family and her four-legged furry friends.

Survivors include daughter Deborah Tepe of Canadian, Texas; sons Steve Glover, and Marc Glover and wife Dina, both of Artesia, John Glover of Albuquerque, and Roger Glover of Grapevine, Texas; brothers Mark Stroup of Las Cruces and Tom Stroup of Truth or Consequences; grandchildren Sarah Glover, Grace Tepe, Anna Tepe, Stephen Baker-Glover, Sean Baker-Glover, Billy Glover, Alex Males, and Allyson Males; and great-granddaughter Cora.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother James King Stroup; and son-in-law Clifford Tepe.
