Members of Grammy’s House board of directors and staff pose with just some of the more than 159 Christmas presents donated to 58 families in need by employees of Concho Resources Inc. of Artesia this morning at Grammy’s House. Grammy’s Executive Director Celina Bryant said the domestic violence shelter will begin distributing the gifts as early as this afternoon. “We are blessed to have such generous people in our community, to help people who sometimes have to decide between paying the electric bill and purchasing a present for their children,” Bryant said. Bryant said this is the eighth year Concho has taken the names and ages of the families in need and went shopping for them, ensuring these families have something under the tree on Christmas morning.
