A celebration of life service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, at Trinity Temple Assembly of God for Linda Kaye Lamkin of Artesia.
Lamkin, 63, peacefully went to be with Jesus Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, surrounded by her family and friends at San Pedro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Pastor Bobby Argo will officiate at the services. All family and friends are invited to attend. There will be no interment, as cremation will take place.
Linda was born July 27, 1953, in Roswell to Sam J. Kilgore Sr. and Betty Jo Kilgore.
She married Charles Lamkin of Artesia and loved him dearly for 28 years.
Linda was a very happy person and loved to be around her family. Her family and pets meant more to her than anything in the world. She loved fishing, dancing, bowling, camping, crafts and cooking. She mostly loved getting together with all of her family at family functions for the holidays.
She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and loved her. Linda will always be remembered by the kindness that she shared.
Survivors include daughters Shawna Callaway and husband Mike, Michelle Wood, and Angela Orosco-Flores, all of Artesia; two more daughters her marriage gave her the privilege of adding, Tamara Bergman and husband Zane of Hobbs, and Megan Murillo of Artesia; sisters Shirley Hensley and husband Carl of Hobbs, Patsy Kilgore of Artesia, and Gaile Craft and husband J.B. of Florence, Ariz.; grandsons Zachary Bergman, Adrian Hall, Skyler Bergman, Zane Truog, Cameron Bergman, Antony Hall, Dalton Truog, Shadow Orosco, Shawn Orosco, Darren Jackson, Austin Callaway and Tony Murillo; granddaughters Shayna Orosco-Flores and Fallyn Campbell; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and aunts.
The loved ones who left and went to Jesus before she did were father Sam J. Kilgore Sr.; mother Betty Kilgore; brother Sam J. Kilgore; grandparents Lafe and Mary Kilgore, and John and Cora Roden; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
