Services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Secundino C. Perez of Artesia.

Perez, 60, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at his home.

Fr. Francis Lazer will officiate at the services, with interment to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Cardenas, Richard Ray Cardenas, Hector Ochoa, Lalo Alvarado, Ricky Alvarado, Freddie “Boo Boo” Chavarria and Raymond Jimenez. Honorary pallbearers are his Congo Friends.

A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Grace.

Secundino was born May 5, 1956, in Artesia to Manuel and Juanita (Calderon) Perez. He was a lifelong Artesia resident.

He worked as a maintenance man at Navajo Refining Co. and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Secundino had a passion for Bulldog football and the Philadelphia Eagles. His love was his family.

Survivors include daughter Dina Arroyo of Artesia; sons Rodney R. Perez and Dino Perez Jr., both of Artesia; sisters Sylvia Vasquez and husband Tony of Artesia and Catalina Garcia and husband Fidel of Bovina, Texas; brothers Henry Perez and wife Ofelia, and Michael Perez, both of Artesia; and grandchildren Damion, Audrey and Azuriah Perez, and Tavian Arroyo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jimmy Perez; and sister Ramonsita Perez.
