On the Move, a local organization dedicated to aiding Artesia’s homeless and those in need, is selling raffle tickets to raise funds for its efforts.

Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and are available from any On the Move volunteer or at Fenn’s Country Market the next two Monday and Wednesday evenings. Tickets will also be sold Thursday, Dec. 1, at Light Up Artesia, prior to the drawing that same night.

Prizes include gift certificates ranging from $30 to $50 from local businesses Adobe Rose, La Fonda, Simply Bello, Martha’s Fabric Shop and Boutique, and The Jahva House and certificates good for car washes, original paintings, handmade items by Michelle Hudson, and a gift basket from Runyan Ranch.

All proceeds will benefit On the Move’s outreach efforts. The group gives away clothing twice a month from its Care-A-Van at the Church of God on 20th Street.
