Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Woodbine Cemetery for Nancy K. McCaw of Artesia.
McCaw, 71, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, at Good Life Senior Living.
Rev. Monty Leavell will officiate at the services.
Nancy was born April 17, 1945, in Gallup to Ray and Morine (Withers) Boyett. She was a graduate of Gallup High School and attended Eastern New Mexico University and the University of New Mexico.
On Nov. 7, 1966, she married William “Bill” J. McCaw in Clovis, and the couple came to Artesia in 1970 from Portales.
Nancy was the founding owner/operator of Purple Iris and was an avid artist. She enjoyed painting and the outdoors, and was a former member of the Artesia Arts Council.
Survivors include her husband, Bill McCaw, of the family home; son Kerry McCaw of Philadelphia, Pa.; sister Patty Butt of Roswell; sister-in-law Gwen Riddle of College Station, Texas; nephews Tige Butt of Albuquerque and Neal Riddle of College Station; and close friend and caregiver Blanca Carrasco of Artesia.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the First Methodist Church of Artesia.
