Longtime Artesia High School Bulldog bus driver Len Flaming accepts a plaque from Artesia Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Crit Caton Friday at Bulldog Bowl, surrounded by his nephews, in honor of Flaming’s retirement after 50 years behind the wheel. The miles Flaming logged driving Bulldog and Lady Bulldog athletes to and from their various sporting events would be equivalent to two trips to the moon, 147 around it, and 40 trips around the earth.
