Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, at First Baptist Church for Dana Leigh Carpenter.
Carpenter, 45, passed away July 19, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces.
Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
Dana was born Feb. 25, 1971, in Artesia to Bill and Katie (Cunningham) Carpenter. She was a lifelong Artesia resident.
She was a part-time employee with High Desert Services and was one of the clients of High Desert Services in Artesia. She formerly did carryout for Gregg’s Foods.
Dana was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching TV programs including “The Price is Right,” “Dr. Phil” and “Family Feud,” and loved to visit on her cell phone with family and friends daily. She never met a stranger.
Survivors include father Bill Carpenter and wife Andie of Las Cruces; brother Christopher Carpenter of Las Cruces; aunts Gayle Schmidt and husband Art of Las Vegas, Nev., Toni Cunningham of Heath, Texas, and Norma Theisen of Littleton, Colo.; uncle Walt Cunningham and wife Perri of Lakewood, Colo.; stepbrother Jason Baldwin and wife Holly; stepsister Sandy Fry and husband Brian of Carlsbad; four cousins; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Katie Baldwin, in November 2005.
