The Artesia Arts Council is proud to release the lineup for its upcoming season at the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center, set to run Sept. 11, 2016, through May 6, 2017.
The schedule will open at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, with “Hank Williams Remembered,” performed by Jake Penrod. At 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, comedy magician Dana Daniels will perform.
Jason Alexander – “George” from TV’s “Seinfeld” – calls Daniels “by far the most consistently funny comedy magician I’ve ever seen. His material is flawless, as is his magic, and everyone goes out both amazed and aching with laughs.”
Other highlights of the season include Ralna English from “The Lawrence Welk Show” and The Glenn Miller Orchestra in October, “Close to You – The Music of the Carpenters” in November, and Riders in the Sky and Branson on the Road in December.
The National Players will present “The Giver,” “Hamlet” and “The Grapes of Wrath” in March 2017, and to accompany the Main Event Car Show and Cruise in late March will be “Surf’s Up: A Tribute to the Beach Boys.”
Tickets range from $10 to $40, and Golden Tickets are still available for $450 each, which includes an arts council membership.
