Memorial services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at First Baptist Church for Lamora Belle “Midget” Boyce of Artesia.

Boyce, 80, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016, at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.

Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Alexander Midway Funeral Home of Azle, Texas.

Lamora was born Oct. 31, 1935, in Wills Point, Texas, to Neal H. and Elizabeth (Wells) Parker.

On Feb. 18, 1955, she married Troy Alton Boyce in Carlsbad, and the couple made their home in Artesia.

Lamora was a devoted wife, mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved spending time with family. She was kind and considerate, always putting others before herself. To all who knew her, she was beautiful in every way.

Survivors include son Mike Solt of Artesia; brothers Howard Parker and wife Nellie of Granbury, Texas, and Donald Parker and wife Judy of Carlsbad; sisters Faye Wallace and husband Hunkey of Artesia, and Maye Newman and Jo Tidwell, both of Azle, Texas; granddaughters Quana Jo Solt, Amanda Bustamante, Susan Solt, and Liz Campbell and husband Jerry; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy, in 2003, and her parents.
