Those who missed the previous auditions for the Artesia Community Theatre’s upcoming production of “Honk!” still have time to try out for the show.

“Honk!”, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s story of “The Ugly Duckling,” adds chirpy, cheery music and plenty of “fowl jokes” to the traditional story of acceptance and understanding. With music by George Stiles and writing and lyrics by Anthony Drewe, the play is a perfect mix for kids of all ages.

Anyone interested in musical theatre or just having a great time is encouraged to audition. Parts are available for children, teens and adults, and audition times can be scheduled by contacting director Alice Lorang at 746-3756.

Rehearsals begin in June, with production dates slated for Aug. 18-21. Lorang knows summer is a busy time for families and is willing to work around schedules.
