Chase Foundation scholars currently attending the University of New Mexico place plants into plant beds Saturday morning at Artesia’s community garden on the corner of 10th Street and Dallas Avenue. The garden is sponsored by the My Neighborhood organization, and volunteers recently purchased planters and trees from Sun Country Garden Center. The nursery, in support of the garden, subsequently donated plants and flowers to the project.
