The Artesia City Council will consider a trio of zoning ordinances at its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday.
Up for consideration will be an ordinance to repeal Ordinance No. 693 and reestablish the R1-B Single Family Residential District for the south side of the 2000-2200 blocks of West Washington Avenue, lots 1-14 of West Acres No. 6 Subdivision; approval of annexation and designation of zoning districts for the West Hermosa Annexation, a portion of the south half and southeast quarter of Section 13 and the north half and northeast quarter of Section 24; and approval of annexation and designation of zoning districts for the Tractor Supply Annexation, a portion of the northwest quarter and northeast quarter of Section 5.
The council will also consider an ordinance amending Article 3, Chapter 4 of the Artesia City Code concerning the public library and library board of trustees, as well as a request for the use of Jaycee Park May 7-8 for the inaugural Kickin’ It 4 Africa 3v3 Soccer Tournament.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in Council Chambers at City Hall, 511 W. Texas Ave.
