The Eddy County Commission will make final considerations of its nuisance vegetation and liquid waste ordinances at Tuesday’s meeting.

The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Room 211 of the Eddy County Administration Complex, 101 W. Greene St. in Carlsbad, with staff comments, commissioner comments and questions, and elected or legislative officials’ comments or questions on O-16-84, the Eddy County Vegetation Nuisance Ordinance, followed by a public comment period. Each person wishing to speak will be subject to a three-minute time limit.

The commission will then entertain a motion for passage of the ordinance.

The same protocol will then be taken for a public hearing on O-16-85, the Eddy County Liquid Waste Ordinance.

In other business Tuesday, the commission will review February and March 2016 revenue reports, and January and February 2016 budget reviews.

A special dispenser permit application for Hotel Artesia will also be considered, a letter of support for Grammy’s House domestic violence shelter reviewed, and a Village of Hope cleanup discussed.
