The Artesia High School cheerleading squad performed a myriad of cheers with the help of megaphones, pom-pons and flags Tuesday at Bulldog Pit during a public performance of their State Spirit Championships routine. The cheerleaders will be leaving Thursday for Albuquerque and competing in the state event at 3:50 p.m. Friday and 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
