TO THE EDITOR:

I want to thank the officers that responded to my burglar alarm this morning. Even though there was no emergency as my husband set it off by mistake (bless his heart) on his way to work, they were knocking on the door very quickly.

Later I found out that after I did not answer the phone when the security company called they called my husband but because he was not at the house they did not call off the police. I was not awake enough to get their names but I wanted to make sure that they know I feel safe because of them.

In a time that there is much animosity towards the police in this country we should make sure that our police know that they are appreciated.

Thank you!
