Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, March 17, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for Belle Marie Economides of Artesia.
Economides, 89, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Heartfelt Manor in Roswell.
Fr. Frances Lazer will officiate at the services, with interment to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Scott, Andrew Prichard, AA Klein, Lex Klein, Steve Spence and Keith Kostlin.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Terpening & Son Mortuary. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Terpening & Son.
Belle was born Nov. 3, 1926, in Houma, La., the daughter of Albert Joseph and Irene Marie (LeBlanc) Hebert.
On Dec. 1, 1948, she married Floyd “Greek” Economides in Houma.
She was a radiology and lab technician for the hospital and a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the Good Sams Travel Club. Belle loved playing bridge, cooking, and arts and crafts.
Survivors include son Curtis Economides and wife Jeannie of Artesia; a very special niece, Bonny King; step-grandchildren Andrew Prichard, Billy Prichard, Benny Prichard, and Starla Whittington and husband Mark; and step-great-grandchildren Dryden, Darryn and Dalton Prichard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Greek Economides, on Jan. 27, 2014; her parents; and a sister, Nell Scott.
