Phyllis ‘Fifi’ Gilchrist

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, March 14, at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 402 W. Grand Ave., for Phyllis “Fifi” Gilchrist.

Gilchrist, 93, beloved Mother, Grandmother and friend, passed away March 7, 2016.

Interment will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Reese Troublefield, Jason Webb, Jarrett Webb, Ian Hancox, Tanner Gilchrist and Bob Shoemaker. Honorary pallbearers are James Metzler, Chad Hudgins, Devon Hudgins, Bobby Ferguson, Jim Ferguson and Robbie Miller.

Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Fifi had many interests, such as gardening and playing bridge, poker and dominoes. She was a very accomplished artist and quite a “fisherman.”

Fifi and her husband, Creighton, spent much time in the Sacramento Mountains at their sweet cabin. She was a loving wife and enjoyed being with her family and socializing with her wonderful friends. She always laughed at a good joke.

Survivors include her sister, Shirley Metzler; her children, Susie Troublefield and husband Glen, Robert Gilchrist, Barbara “Pug” Webb and husband Mark, and Dana Sparks and husband Mark; grandchildren Reese Troublefield, Laurie Shoemaker, Jason Webb, Jarrett Webb, Ian Hancox, Tanner Gilchrist, Su-Zette Sparks and Kaycee Pound; and great-grandchildren Nicole, Jenna, Courtney, Ayden, Jace and Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Helen Bartlett; husband Creighton Gilchrist; and brother Bill Bartlett.
