Artesia Police Department officers and EMS crews respond Tuesday afternoon to the scene of a three-vehicle accident near Eighth and Main streets. According to the APD, the vehicles were headed east on Main Street approaching a red light when the third vehicle hit the center vehicle, which in turn hit the vehicle in front. The APD reports one person was transported to Artesia General Hospital with complaints of head, neck or back pain. The driver of the rear vehicle was issued a citation.
