Margarito Salmon waits to receive his ballot this morning at the Artesia Senior Center as voting began in the city’s municipal election. The polls will remain open until 7 p.m. today, and voters may utilize either of two locations: the Senior Center and Faith Baptist Church. On the ballot are four city council races, three of which are contested, and municipal judge.
