Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at Faith Baptist Church for Robert Lee Goad of Artesia.

Goad, 69, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Robby Ballew will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Robert was born July 3, 1946, in Fairview, N.M., the son of Martha (Goad). He was a longtime resident of Artesia.

He served in the United States Army.

Robert was a civil engineer, a graduate of Espanola High School and International Correspondence School, and a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include sister Mary Goad of Artesia; uncle Herman Goad of Espanola; and cousins Margaret Goad of Ojo Caliente, Emily Goad of Velarde, Shirley Archuleta of Tierra Amarilla, and Sharon Rowe of Bellevue, Wash.
