Third-graders of Central Elementary School sing “America the Beautiful” Friday afternoon as part of the Artesia Downtown Lions Club’s Flag Day Program in the school’s gymnasium. The Bullpups learned about patriotism and respect for the American flag through the program. Although Flag Day is celebrated June 14, Friday was chosen due to the holiday falling over summer vacation.
