A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Roswell for Margaret Orosco Sedillo.

Sedillo, 76, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016.

Interment will follow services at South Park Cemetery in Roswell. Pallbearers will be Noel Rodriguez, Rodney Rodriguez, Mike Sanchez, Gary James, Nick Padilla and Robert Montoya. Honorary pallbearers are Jerome Sedillo Jr. and Donovan Sedillo.

Visitation will be held from noon – 7 p.m. today at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory in Roswell. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Anderson Bethany.

Margaret was born June 10, 1939, in Lovington, the daughter of Isidro and Dominga (Trujillo) Orosco.

As the matriarch of her family, she was very family-oriented and chose to be a homemaker. She was known by all to be a very good cook. Always being patient and kind, she believed in forgiveness for everyone. Margaret had a strong belief in her Catholic faith.

Survivors include her husband, James Sedillo, of Roswell; sons Jamie V. Sedillo of Roswell and Jerome Sedillo and wife Kim of Denver, Colo.; daughter Bernadette Sedillo and husband Mike Sanchez of Las Cruces; grandchildren Matthew Alirez of Roswell, Marissa Sedillo of Las Vegas, N.M., and Jerome Sedillo Jr., Donovan Sedillo and Selina Sedillo, all of Denver; sisters Cecilia Leyva and husband Proto of Artesia, Jane Flores and husband Carlos of Roswell, and Teresa Anstead and husband Michael of Clermont, Fla.; brother Manuel Orosco and wife Paz of Carlsbad; sister-in-law Helen Padilla of Roswell; brothers-in-law Gilbert Sedillo and wife Bennie of Dexter, and Ruben Sedillo, and Joe Sedillo and wife Helen, both of Roswell; special friends Roxanna and Gary James of Roswell, and Peggy and Bill Aguirre of Alamogordo; and numerous nephews and nieces who she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isidro Orosco and Dominga Trujillo; and one daughter, Selina Marie Sedillo, of Roswell.
