Kiara Kennemur colors recycled plastic cutouts before shrinking them in a toaster oven during a Recycled Workshop Tuesday afternoon at the Artesia Public Library. The shrunken pieces of plastic were then attached to a Valentine’s Day-themed bracelet. Valentine’s Day is Sunday, Feb. 14. The next Recycled Workshop will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the library, and teenagers and adults are invited to create jewelry from recycled computer hardware.
