Services were held Jan. 19 at the Albion Church of Christ in Albion, Okla., for Gearldine (Lett) Wood.

Wood, 96, passed from this life Jan. 16, 2016, at New Hope Retirement and Care Center in McAlester, Okla.

Aaron Austin of Crowder Church of Christ and Frank McCawley of Albion Church of Christ officiated at the services. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jarrod Wood, Tommy Buckner, Donnie Wood, A.J. Roberds, Tyler Wood and Ryan Wood. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Wood and Don Kirkes.

Gearldine was born May 25, 1919, in Mulberry, Ark., to John and Hannah (Langley) Lett.

On Feb. 28, 1946, she married Leonard Wood.

She was a homemaker and member of the Albion Church of Christ.

Survivors include three sons, Dean Wood and wife Sharon of McAlester, Larry Wood and wife Lynette of Artesia, and Roy Wood and wife Charlotte of Albion; daughter-in-law Linda Wood of Columbia, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Jarrod Wood of Hugo, Okla., Rochelle Buckner and husband Tommy of McAlester, Mike Wood and wife Teri of Ruidoso, Donnie Wood and wife Laura of Franklin, Tenn., Kaye Bozeman and husband Terry of Columbia, Angie Wood of Columbia, Hannah Wood of Albion, and Sherrie Roberds and husband A.J. of Albion; 16 great-grandchildren, Tyler Wood and fiancée Paige, and Ryan and Sydnee Wood, all of Clayton, Okla., Britton and Blayre Buckner of McAlester, John Wood, Lykala Wood, Kaitlyn Evans and Tyler Evans, all of Artesia, Chance Wood and wife Melody of Ottawa, Kans., Colbey Wood and fiancé Matt Payne of Franklin, Austin Edmonds and Katelyn Wood, both of Columbia, and Tawny, James and Lily Roberds of Albion; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kaylan Wood and Caliber Harvey of Artesia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Leonard Wood, in 1991; son Thomas Paul Wood; brothers Oscar, George Thomas, and John Paul Lett; and sisters Martha Moore, Lillie Cranford and Mary Pearson.

Arrangements were under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Services of Clayton, Okla.
