Above, Cassidy Combs, daughter of Kimberly and Chris Combs of Artesia, celebrates her first Christmas Friday amidst a wonderland of sparkling packages, ribbons and bows. From first-timers to seasoned veterans, children throughout the community gave their families and friends the opportunity to enjoy the magic of the holiday season through their eyes this year, and many could be seen outdoors over the holiday weekend, taking advantage of the warm temperatures to test out new Christmas toys. They were back outside – albeit well-bundled – this past weekend for a different kind of winter fun after heavy snowfall in the area.
