Charges of criminal damage to property and two counts of battery against Michael Rodriguez, 35, of Artesia, were transferred to district court.
Richard L. Goins, 33, of Carlsbad, scheduled to appear for non—jury trial Feb. 16, 2016, on charges of five counts of minor traffic violations.
Justin N. Polito, 28, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for pretrial conference Feb. 10, 2016, on charges of battery upon a household member and criminal damage to property of a household member (under $1,000).
Zachariah Jorgensen, 25, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for pretrial conference Feb. 3, 2016, on charges of resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.
Lupe Hernandez, 59, of Artesia, found guilty of shoplifting. Sentenced to 69 days in ECDC. Total fines and fees $73.
Antonio Saiz, 28, of Artesia, found guilty of two counts of battery upon a household member. Sentenced to 180 days in ECDC and 728 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $446.
Levi C. Justice, 31, of Artesia, found guilty of battery. Sentenced to one day in ECDC and 181 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees. $73. In a separate ruling, Justice was bound over to district court on charges of distribution of a controlled substance and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.
Charges of being a fugitive from justice were dismissed by the prosecutor against Antonio Flores, 30, of Artesia.
Jayson Vargas, 20, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for preliminary examination Dec. 30 on charges of battery upon a peace officer, resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, and battery upon a household member.
Tasha Foster, 37, of Artesia, bound over to district court on charges of possession of a controlled substance.
Joshua Beeman, 31, of Artesia, bound over to district court on charges of possession of a controlled substance, to wit: methamphetamine.
