The charges were subsequently combined with five others against Villegas that resulted from the Oct. 26 PVDTF investigation at 2503 W. Grand Ave.: possession of a controlled substance (felony – narcotic), three counts of aggravated assault upon a peace officer, and tampering with evidence (third-, fourth- or indeterminate-degree felony).

Villegas is scheduled for preliminary examination at 3 p.m. Dec. 9 in Artesia Magistrate Court.
