Micah Andrew Johnson

Micah Andrew Johnson

Micah Andrew Johnson, 44, co-owner of Associated Securities Industries (ASI), passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015.

He was born July 14, 1971, in Artesia.

Micah was one of the greatest guys you could ever meet and was well known for his amazing, laser-quick wit and bigger-than-life humor. He had an innate ability to brighten up any room and befriended anyone in need with selfless care and consideration, witnessed even after his passing by his participation in the organ donation program.

Survivors include his father, Lt. Col. Max D. Johnson, ret.; brothers Mark C. Johnson and Special Agent Mitchell Johnson; sister Germaine Chappelle, Esq.; sister-in-law Caitlin Johnson; and additional Team Micah members, including Sat Kartar S. Bird, Deborah Fritz and Brian Clark. He had, and was loved by, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was especially beloved by his nephews, Dorman Johnson, Rylen Johnson and Kai Chappelle, and niece Corinne Johnson, born Nov. 6.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Johnson, and his grandparents.

It is difficult to include all of the people dear to Micah across the country and abroad in this note, but please know that Team Micah thanks all of Micah’s extended family, friends and coworkers for their caring and support.

Two memorial services will be held, the first at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at St. John’s Methodist Church in Santa Fe, and the second at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at First United Methodist Church in Artesia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Honor Flight, www.honorflightnm.org.
