A large sign is lowered into place Monday along First Street at the site of the new McAlister’s Deli. The restaurant, which occupies the lot formerly housing the DMV and Eddy County substations, has been swiftly nearing completion in recent weeks and is slated for a Dec. 7 opening, according to McAlister’s corporate headquarters.
