Crews with the Riverside and Atoka Volunteer Fire Departments and Artesia Fire Department work to extinguish a fire that broke out around 10 a.m. Friday in Riverside.

A large swath of dry grass around a residence’s perimeter fence had been burned just northwest of the Mack Energy Corp. headquarters, and smaller spot fires had been ignited.

Working in teams, crews appeared to quickly handle each blaze despite strong winds from the south.

Additional details will be provided as they become available.
