Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at West Main Baptist Church for Mary Jean Bartlett of Artesia.

Bartlett, 74, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at her home.

Paul Hollandsworth will officiate at the services, with interment to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Sanford, Darrel Dixon, Joel Buck, Charles Buck, Cole Towler and Larry Troublefield Jr.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Bartlett was born Sept. 10, 1941, in Cottonwood, the daughter of Charles Buck and Ora (Payne) Buck. She was a longtime area resident.

On Sept. 10, 1956, she married A.J. Sonny Bartlett in Lovington.

She was a beauty operator for 48 years and a member of the Moose and Elks lodges.

Survivors include her husband, Sonny Bartlett, of Artesia; brother Charles Buck and wife Shirley of Artesia; grandchildren Michael Towler and Queena Mitcham; three greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
