7024U has amazing volunteers! From teaching our youth art to event set up, David Tenorio, David Hussleman, Harli Hussleman and Carlos Rodriguez have come to our rescue many times without being asked. Without their efforts, we wouldn’t be as fruitful as we are.

You may recognize David Tenorio by his artwork on local business windows, especially during the holidays. David has not only expanded our youth’s artistic skills with his classes, he also volunteers at our events. Through teaching, fundraising, and attending graduations regularly, David has committed himself to the success of our youth.

David Hussleman has made it a life commitment to help Artesia’s youth. Not only does he volunteer at 7024U, he is involved with Guardians of the Children as their Sergeant at Arms. His cheerfulness and generosity is inspiring. He’s a phone call away when we are in need of muscle, a truck, or help at the center.

Harli Hussleman, a senior in high school, has proven her community dedication through her volunteer commitments. She helps her family with Guardians of the Children, Artesia Drug & Crime Coalition, and us with 7024U. Whether it is truck duty or waking early for garage sale sorting, Harli has done more than many kids her age.

Carlos Rodriguez is well known for his amazing airbrushing art. He was instrumental in developing our art program. Carlos painted the sign outside our building and has instructed airbrushing classes with our youth. His classes will resume after school starts.

7024U staff and volunteers are looking forward to continuing our work with Artesia’s youth.

7024U helps Artesia’s youth with life and social skills, education, bullying awareness, substance abuse prevention, and introducing them to the arts. We accept referrals for youth in grades 6-12. If you would like to volunteer, refer a youth, or know more about our program, please call 736-7024.
