Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Elisa A. Corrales of Artesia.
Corrales, 80, passed away Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at her home.
Fr. Martin Cornejo will officiate at the services, with interment to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Matthew Cardenas, Angelo Thompson, Adrian Palomares, Ricardo Ruiz, Danny Chavez and Brandon Thompson.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m.
today at Our Lady of Grace. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today at the church.
Corrales was born March 15, 1935, in Big Spring, Texas, the daughter of Nieves Corrales and Maria (Aguilar) Corrales.
She was a longtime Artesia resident.
She worked as a housekeeper at Artesia General Hospital for more than 30 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and enjoyed playing bingo and attending garage sales. She also loved to spend time with her family.
Survivors include her niece, who was like a daughter, Marilyn Thompson of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter Christine Dornan of Artesia; sister Jane Rosales of Roswell; brother Marcilino Corrales of Las Cruces; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a great-grandson on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Jose Corrales; sister Luiz Catano; and longtime companion Raymundo Cardenas.
