A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for Emily Ann Florez of Artesia.

Florez, 32, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at her home.

Fr. Martin Cornejo will officiate at the services, with interment to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Klein, Lance Conklin, Jarrod Moreau, Josh Decoteau, Jared Deason and Ky Scott.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Terpening & Son Mortuary. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.

Florez was born April 14, 1983, in Roswell, the daughter of Roger Jones and Jackie Boling Jones. She was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Artesia High School in 2001, where she was a member of the choir and in Who’s Who Among American High School Students for two years.

She worked as a sales associate and was a member of St.

Anthony’s Catholic Church.

She was a devoted mother, witty, funny and caring.

Survivors include her parents, Roger and Jackie Jones, of Artesia; children Janayah Florez and Mateo Florez of the family home; sister Pam Jimenez; uncles and aunts Mike and Jamie Boling, Mark and Stacy Boling, Ronnie and Peggy Jones, and Ralph Jones; nieces Andrea and Gracie Jimenez; several cousins; and a host of friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
