The Artesia City Council voted 6-0 Tuesday to ban the use of personal fireworks and charcoal grills at Jaycee Park during the upcoming Fourth of July celebration.
The ban of personal fireworks only pertains to the area inside Jaycee Park and is due to the amount of fireworks that will be in the area during the event.
