Children in the City of Artesia’s youth recreation program enjoy an inflatable obstacle course Friday morning at the Artesia Center. This year’s program has a “Space Odyssey” theme, and Recreation Supervisor Luis Reyes reports he and his summer staff of 35 are currently overseeing 180 youths. The program runs from 8 a.m. – noon, Monday through Friday, through July 24 and is available to children ages 6 and up. The fee is $50 per child and includes a t-shirt, dance and prizes.
