A trio of vehicles sits sandwiched near Tate Branch Dodge on south First Street following an accident this morning that resulted in a white Jeep Liberty being t-boned between a blue Ford Focus and a Ford pickup. According to an Artesia Police Department officer on the scene, the driver of the Jeep attempted to make a left turn into the parking lot of Tate Branch Dodge and collided with the Focus, which was traveling north on U.S. 285. The Focus pushed the Jeep into the Ford pickup, which was sitting at a nearby stop sign on West Centre Avenue. The driver of the Jeep was transported to Artesia General Hospital for a precautionary evaluation but did not sustain any serious injuries. The drivers of the other two vehicles did not report injuries. The Jeep’s driver is expected to be cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.  Ben Theobald – Daily Press
