The Ocotillo Performing Arts Center’s weekend of shows celebrating Cinco de Mayo were enthusiastically attended as crowds enjoyed the sounds of Mariachi Tenampa Friday and the sights of Ballet Folklorico “Quetzalli” de Veracruz Saturday. As has become their tradition in Artesia, Mariachi Tenampa, at left, performed a set list largely comprised of songs called out by audience members, who also joined in the singing of several numbers. The Ballet Folklorico dancers, at right, were a blaze of color as they rhythmically tapped out a variety of traditional folkloric dances. Brienne Green - Daily Press
